Psychological Assessment
I also offer psychological assessment and evaluation services. Psychological assessment and evaluations are typically performed for individuals in need of a more in-depth exploration into their health, functioning, and well-being. The information gathered can, for example, help determine their overall fitness for certain work roles (e.g., cross-cultural business, government, or religious leadership), verify the presence of historical or existing psychological disorders (such as Post-traumatic Stress Disorder), and/or inform a treatment plan to ensure that an individual receives the help that they need (it's unfortunately fairly common for therapy clients to receive treatment for conditions that were misdiagnosed).
I've taught graduate-level coursework and have trained graduate psychology students for over 6 years in the area of psychological assessment and am set up to administer a number of standardized psychological assessment instruments (some of which can be done either in person or remotely via an internet browser), including the following:
-
Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2)
-
Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV)
-
Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI-III, MCMI-IV)
-
Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI)
-
The Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF)
-
PREPARE/ENRICH Couples Assessment
-
Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
-
Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5)
-
PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5)
-
Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II)
-
Rotter Incomplete Sentences Blank (RISB)
-
Rey 15-Item (FIT) test
-
Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA)
Psychological Assessment and Evaluations typically incorporate and integrate information gleaned from clinical interviews, standardized tests, informal tests, and interviews from secondary sources such as family members or co-workers (if desired). This work culminates in a written report, which is presented to the client at the end of the assessment/evaluation process.
